Whose the teacher?!

'God has instituted various governments among men, and one is the government of the family. It is in the family that fundamental decisions about the education and training of children are made or not made.' (p47)
Hear, O Israel: The LORD our God, the LORD is one. 5 Love the LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength. 6 These commandments that I give you today are to be upon your hearts. 7 Impress them on your children. Talk about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up. 8 Tie them as symbols on your hands and bind them on your foreheads. 9 Write them on the door-frames of your houses and on your gates. (Deuteronomy 6:4-9)

Children, obey your parents in the Lord, for this is right. 2 "Honour your father and mother"--which is the first commandment with a promise-- 3 "that it may go well with you and that you may enjoy long life on the earth." 4 Fathers, do not exasperate your children; instead, bring them up in the training and instruction of the Lord. (Ephesians 6:1-4)

'Unfortunately, some Christian parents feel they have met their obligation to educate their children if they simply send them off to .... school, provided they also go to Sunday school.' (p47)
